In a small field either Peecee Pussycat or Malfy Rosa will find the front. ELEGANT LADY (2) was beaten but far from disgraced in her last couple of starts at stakes level on the turf here over the recent NZ Cup carnival. She has winning form on this surface and will find this field more to her liking. On top for us. HE'S A BATTLER (1) really came into his own with 3 wins on this surface over the winter. He resumed with a brave third on the turf here just over 3 weeks ago and will be spot on for this assignment. Stick with him on an each-way basis. PEECEE PUSSYCAT (3) led up and was given no peace at Cromwell 5 days ago, finishing sixth. He is as tough as old boots and races just as well on the poly track here. He will take some pegging back again. MALFY ROSA (4) ran her best race in a while at Timaru just over a fortnight ago when finishing third after setting the pace. She can take a sit behind the third pick here, and can figure in the top 3 again. FRANNI CACCINI (5) strips fitter second up, and will have a superior gate this time. Include in all combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: Elegant Lady can win this.
