Genuine tempo with the speedy Smart Sierra leading the way. TAKERU HURLOCK (6) stepped out on his debut over 1400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 6 lengths, after coming from well back on the corner. Expected to be very competitive. BRIGHT IMERU (3) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing fifth and beaten 11 lengths starting at $4.60. Not a great deal of depth to this so there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. BROOKLYN DANCE (10) faced the starter for the first time and finished sixth last start at this track over 1400m, beaten 6 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement. SMART SIERRA (9) has not raced since her debut on June 15 over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt when she finished ninth, beaten 19 lengths. Expected to be more competitive this time.
