Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Liquor Talk. TRIUMPHANT TONIC (12) is a sparingly raced four-year-old who has settled back and savaged the line to get up for second at his two runs this time in work, the latest over 1400m at Gundagai. Beautifully placed out to the mile at this stage of the prep and he looks ready to break the duck. ROMAN HANDS (4) raced on the pace but couldn't quite finish it off over this distance at Wagga three weeks ago. Fitter for two runs back from a break and should offer a bit more resistance this time. TUNGSTON (5) settled back in the field and failed to come on when resuming over 1411m at Seymour recently. Won second-up over the mile two preps ago. Likely improver. BESSON (9) is fitter for two runs back from a short spell and should be about the money. DREAMSTONE (7) was a shade disappointing first-up at Wagga but can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Triumphant Tonic.
