Little early speed means Mcleod can find the front. Weak. BONA FIDE STAR (6) is in good hands and resumes owning a solid Oakbank trial. Has been racing in stronger City Maidens and has placed 2/3 fresh. Gets well with the 2kg claim and this is a winnable assignment. MACSPARK (8) resumes for the top metro barn and impressed the first of two trials. Has the rails gate and sits down in the weights with the 4kg claim. Has the blinkers on and this is very winnable. SHADOWIST (3) has switched from a Sydney barn and has trialled at Gawler for his resumption. Has an outside gate but the blinkers are applied and no surprise if he comes back improved. SPINACH (4) resumes with a solid trial under the saddle and has a 3kg claim. In the mix if the awkward gate is managed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bona Fide Star on what we've seen.
