Solid tempo with Dead Ahead to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. PERSONAL MAKI (6) is in sparkling form with wins at his last four starts including a 1600m win at Morioka Dirt last start. Only has to run out the 1900m first for the first time to make it five straight. YAMANIN SOWELU (1) defied her big price last time when beaten just a neck into second over 1600m at this track. Well placed and should be in the finish. A SHIN NUCIMASNU (2) built on a nice third two starts back with success over 1600m at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 2 lengths. Reika Sekimoto scored on her last time and retains the mount. Meets a stronger field but she is up to the task. YAMASHO LIEN (4) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by a neck over 1600m at Morioka Dirt last start. Can figure in the finish again.
