Certain to be a strong tempo with On The Blossom, Golden Gift and Varlaam leading the charge. GOLDEN GIFT (9) finished seventh two runs back at Morioka Dirt then improved last time out to score by a neck after being in the firing line on the bend over 1600m at this track. No reason he cannot salute again. ADMIRE LEVIN (4) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break. Cherry-ripe now and is among the main hopes. ON THE BLOSSOM (1) ran below expectations last time at Morioka Dirt over 1000m, finishing eighth and beaten 2.5 lengths. Should be prominent from the low draw. One to consider. VARLAAM (3) finished 5 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1600m at Morioka Dirt last start after lifting strongly to score two back. Has a very good record here with four wins from six starts. Not to be discounted.
