From the wide draw Scandinavia can cross and set up a solid tempo. PEPTIDE SOLEIL (1) sat on the pace and stuck on well to score by 1.75 lengths at today's track and trip when first-up from a spell last start. This toughest test but unbeaten from two starts and has good upside. Go close. HAGINO ROCK ON (8) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on November 12 finishing ninth and beaten 10 lengths over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt. Atsuya Nishimura who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Among the leading chances. SMART VICTOR (7) finished second when resuming two runs back at Kyoto Dirt then progressed nicely last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is one of the key runners. SCANDINAVIA (14) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last start over 1800m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in four starts over this course and distance. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
