Pace a scorcher, headed by Smart Ciel, Techno Express and Haste, closely followed by Spellcaster and Gold Lantern. SMART CIEL (3) went fast early over 800m at Urawa last time and dug deep to score by half a length. Should be prominent again from the low draw. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot salute. SPELLCASTER (4) is closing in on a win, last time out finishing second at Himeji when just 1.75 lengths from the winner. Don't underestimate. HASTE (6) displayed plenty of early toe and went on to score dominantly last time out. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. IRON FLOWER (10) resumes in a similar race to her last run three-and-a-half months ago when second, beaten a neck. Sure to make her presence felt.
