Richard Barows, Sonshi and Meisho Peace will be keen early so the tempo should be genuine. SONSHI (7) is a grade 3 placegetter back from a break of 12 weeks. Raced below par at his only appearance last prep when 11th over 1400m at Kyoto. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Leading contender. RICHARD BAROWS (3) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish third. Maps nicely so another bold showing is on the cards. MEISHO PEACE (2) made a nice return last time out to finish second and beaten only a neck over this course and distance. Good second-up performer who is one of the main contenders. ROSE FLAIR (12) returned from a spell five weeks ago when she was beaten 13 lengths into 12th over 1800m at Niigata. Strips fitter and can play a big role.
