Vina Saigon and Carmina Burana possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. CARMINA BURANA (10) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Funabashi, beaten 2 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. SENACHANNO YUME (5) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a neck, over 1200m at Funabashi. Masashige Honda has registered two minor placings when on board. Sure to play a big role. MIND THE HELM (6) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 5.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1200m at Funabashi three weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will prove tough to stop. VINA SAIGON (8) was in the firing line on the bend and finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1400m at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders.
