Without a great deal of early pace evident Irish Gift may lead the way over Miss Shu. MISTERKIPCHOGE (1) was in the money two starts back at Townsville but couldn't back it up last time. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. MISS SHU (5) scored narrowly over 1400m at this track last time out with today's jockey Lacey Morrison in the irons. Gets some weight relief this time so she is worth following up. THE HONEY BADGER (4) finished 3.2 lengths away from the winner last time at this track on a heavy surface and gets some weight relief here. Winkers come off this time. Rates well and expected to be competitive. MANHATTAN'S (3) finished third last start over 1400m at Townsville, beaten 4 lengths. Has the talent to find the winners' list. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Misterkipchoge. |

Sizzling pace from Baggage Handler, Very Good and Bella Bianca locking horns ahead of Kitema and Devine Force. DEVINE FORCE (2) started favourite last time out over 950m at this track but found a couple better, making it four minor placings from six starts this campaign. Suited in this and will be tough to beat. GAMADALE NIP (1) was well supported when resuming last time out over 1000m at Atherton and proved too strong, scoring by 0.6 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and must be respected. KITEMA (6) failed to live up to market expectations last start when out of the placings over 1000m at Atherton. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. MACHINE HEAD (3) was good fresh and is sure to have come on with that run under his belt. Have to include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Devine Force. |

SHOEY MEMORIAL QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 Handicap 1250m
Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Mohawk Warrior, Grey Power and War Council to control the tempo. GREY POWER (7) held on well to finish second last time out over 1250m at this track after leading for much of the way. Well-placed and expected to feature again. GERALDINE'S WISH (8) last appeared when successful by 0.6 lengths over 1000m at Atherton 11 weeks ago, the only time she went to the races last prep. Has a decent record at this trip with seven minor placings from nine tries and is a key contender. WAR COUNCIL (1) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start running eighth at this track. Should be further improved and is worth one more chance. CYCLONE COCO (4) holds genuine claims second-up off a strong first-up effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Grey Power gets the nod. |

King Canute to take up the running with Stellar Legend and Goncalo close at hand. STELLAR LEGEND (4) stuck on well last start to finish third over 1609m at Townsville after showing good early speed. This is a nice race and can take this out. READY AND BETTA (6) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1609m at Townsville after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. NOT A WORRY (3) is a nine-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was sixth over 1200m at Atherton. Can come on from that run and looks a contender. KING CANUTE (2) was much better last start when taken forward at Townsville. Expect them to look to do the same from the inside alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Stellar Legend. |

LADBROKES BIG BETS COPY NOW OPEN Handicap 950m
Expecting Missile Thunder to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. RUBY CHICKS (4) turned in a fine effort to win by 2 lengths at today's course and distance last start which was an improvement on the first-up run. Tackling an easier race so she is a big chance again. IMPARDOO (3) was in a different class last time, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for a 3 length win at Atherton over 1000m. Sure to measure up again. VALENKI (2) finished third last time over 1250m at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Has the ability to take care of this field. RED HOT LIZZIE (6) returned from a spell a week ago when she was beaten 17 lengths into eighth over 1000m at Moranbah. Fitter so expect a better run this time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruby Chicks to win. |
