NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:22 Magain The Shillabeer 1400m
Genuine tempo from Kalmana leading Maysoonfly. KALMANA (2) showed his trademark early speed fresh and dug in when challenged, picking back up late to hold second. He’s sure to have tightened right up with that run and gets in light with the 3kg claim. Great chance to go one better. RAMASIS (1) has come to hand quickly and the form around him keeps stacking up. He’s still improving, so there's no reason he can’t win again. ONE MORE SONG (4) was far too bad to be true fresh but is open to sharp improvement, gets weight relief, and the Milnes booking is a positive. SCOOTATHEWOOTA (7) was no match for Ramasis on debut in February but has taken steps forward in his last two. Still learning and likely to appreciate the rise in trip. BOOLCUNDA DAWN (5) made very light work of her maiden when leading throughout and should bounce straight to the front again from the inside draw, though she won’t get it as easily this time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kalmana to win.
2 12:57 Simon Tolley Maiden Plate 1050m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large contingent of first starters. SNALLYGASTER (3) had just the one run in his debut prep, sticking on gamely behind smart stablemate Virtual Illusion, and appears to have come on nicely during the break. He’ll need luck from the car-park draw, but his race experience takes him a long way. Stablemate TRADE GAME (4) is a son of Hanseatic on debut who has progressed well in his lead-up work and should make his presence felt with Toeroek steering, though he too needs a clever ride from a sticky gate. BRAND HER BOLD (10) couldn't keep up with the smart Mathematician on debut but that's no fair task. Still did a good job to finish midfield. The subsequent form from the race has been good and she's trialled well in-between. Draws well and is a major player. JUXTAPOSE (13) was left with too much to do when resuming public elect at Murray Bridge but did warm nicely late. Drawn kinder second-up and has kept the legs ticking over with a trial between runs. Should be competitive.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Snallygaster.
3 01:32 Stateliner Coaches Handicap 1050m
Genuine tempo with the speedy It'sanotherbattle leading the way. IT'SANOTHERBATTLE (6) is a promising filly resuming for the Oxlades, having been a very smart debut winner back in October when leading throughout at Murray Bridge. Three sharp hit-outs suggest she’s come on beautifully during the break and she’ll take plenty of running down. SIR MYKA (2) should be peaking fourth-up, and the form around him continues to stack up. Had excuses last start as a beaten favourite but wasn’t far away, and the drop back to a sprinting trip keeps him in the game. UPTOWN MONK (4) drops sharply in trip after folding in the Morphettville Guineas when favourite, and you’d expect a more conservative ride this time. CARPE ASTRA (5) finally broke through last start and is worth keeping safe for the minors.  SUGGESTED PLAY: It'sanotherbattle to prove too sharp for them.
4 02:07 Kloses Supermarket Queen Of The Hills 1400m
Solid tempo with Mystic Wonder leading from Brown Nose Day Gal and Swycho. FLOREY (5) is a mare in form and finds another suitable assignment. She’s been kept fresh with a month between runs and the blinkers go on for the first time, which should have her that touch sharper from the inside alley. With the key booking of Toeroek, she’s the one they have to beat. TOSEN WATER (2) warmed into it nicely late when finishing right on the winner’s heels first-up, and he’s sure to have tightened up from that. He’ll relish rising to this trip and should be blending in beautifully at the top of the straight. BROWN NOSE DAY GAL (8) continues to step up to the mark. She was no match for the impressive Cash last week, but that was some win. She draws well, gets in light, and will be in this for a long way. NICISH (4) has attacked the line in both runs back and should be at her top now. Is yet to prove herself at this trip, but her splits suggest she’ll appreciate the extra ground. MYSTIC WONDER (9) was a sharp improver second-up and is open to further. Live hope on best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Florey to win.
5 02:42 Emmetts Country Cup (Qualified Horses) (Heat 3 Hills & Coast Series) (Heat 6 Prov. Pathways Series) 1900m
Solid tempo anticipated with Thermodynamic taking charge. TANNENBURG (3) has been leaving himself with too much to do but heating up late and the month between runs keeps him sharp. The extra ground suits and the form around him is red-hot. Toeroek sticking is a big tick and he’s ready to make his presence felt. SOMEWHERE SOON (8) couldn’t match the winner but was closing hard and was unlucky not to grab a minor cheque. She’ll likely get a long way back again from the draw but Holder can manage that. Live hope. CLASSY CLARET (5) has been rock-solid for the Gluyas camp over these staying trips and should push forward from the draw to be right in the fight. JOVIALE (10) pulled away for an impressive mile win at Strathalbyn and while this is tougher he’s progressive and looks ready for the rise in trip. THERMODYNAMIC (9) is knocking on the door and is worth keeping safe in the placings on the quick back-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tannenburg each-way.
6 03:17 Coopers Brewery Onkaparinga Cup 2150m
Burning Bright should lead and control the tempo. OXFORD BLUE (5) rises sharply in trip on the short turnaround after sticking on strongly up the inside behind the impressive Cash last week, who looks destined for black type. He should push forward under the light weight and prove hard to stop. KING OF WESSEX (9) was super late when rattling home over a trip short of his best and was only denied narrowly over 2000m two back, so this distance won’t trouble him. Expect him to blend in smoothly when they straighten. Big threat. ROYAL MILE (4) has recaptured his best form and finds another suitable staying contest. He drops in weight and will be charging late. BURNING BRIGHT (3) was no match for an impressive winner two back but was still strong in second, following a dominant win prior. He’ll push forward again and be in this for a long way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Oxford Blue on the quick back-up.
7 03:57 Capetal The Vintage (Heat 4 of Adelaide in Autumn Series) 1400m
Pace genuine with Super Lad and Streetcar Apollo pressing hard closely followed by Easy Campese and Willybeafactor. TEST OF LOVE (8) has returned in superb order and was only run down late when chasing a hat-trick. He raced a touch keen last time, so if Milnes can get him to relax he’ll be mighty tough to run down. FAST BUBBLES (5) has mixed his form since resuming but he savaged the line last start at Murray Bridge and he’s still fit and firing. He’s been kept fresh with a month between runs and he owns a strong record at this trip. Taking very seriously. FINE FUTURE (12) only warmed up late second-up and made solid inroads without threatening. He gets in light and can cause a scare if they roll along up front. STREETCAR APOLLO (6) is a proven winner and bounced straight back from a hiccup two back with a strong win last start. He’ll be competitive again. WATADEEL (1) showed signs of life in the C S Hayes Memorial Cup, just peaking late. Third-up back to 1400m looks perfect and he can play a role.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Test Of Love to win.
8 04:37 Harcourts Hills Railway Stakes 1100m
Pace solid from Mic Drop going forward from an outside draw along with Nextonixs. PRAIRIE FLOWER (1) hasn’t won for a long time but she’s a quality mare with a sharp turn of foot when things fall her way. She’s been finding trouble but still showing she’s going well. Kept fresh with a trial and gets Pannell for the first time, which could spark a change of luck. MIC DROP (9) keeps stepping up and is going too well to ignore. She was only run down late in the Manihi by a hot favourite and should burn across from the wide alley to give them something to catch. GREAT MAXIMUS (4) needs a smart steer from the car-park draw but he has talent and drops back to a sprinting trip off a five-week freshen. Don’t dismiss him. THUNDER SHOC (5) couldn’t keep up in the Matrice Stakes last week but backs up quickly and is worth forgiving on her earlier work. WINNING REVOLUTION (10) finished full of running fresh and can cause trouble late if they overdo it in front.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Prairie Flower.
9 05:25 Ray White Happy Birthday Sarah Handicap (Heat 5 of Festival State Sprint Series) 1050m
A solid tempo anticipated with Refreshing and Cuban Waters ahead of Zatanna and Dyer. CLARENCE (1) is going better than his form suggests and could be ready to put it all together on the quick back-up. The draw is sticky but he’ll appreciate a hot early tempo and can reel them in late. PANTOJA (17) has built nicely into this fourth-up and gets his chance to produce a peak. He’s been kept on the fresh side and rates as one of the main chances. PALM OF JUMEIRAH (8) is a proven fresh performer and resumes off a short break over a favoured trip. Two hitouts have her forward enough and she should make her presence felt. OVER YONDER (2) disappointed as favourite last time but wasn’t disgraced. His best figures stack up and the 3kg claim gets him in well. He stays in the mix. INVERTATIONAL (10) was a barnstorming winner second-up. Less effective last time but has been kept fresh with a trial to keep him ticking over. She stays onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Clarence to win.
