NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:24 ANZAC DAY @ BEAUDESERT ON SALE NOW QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1200m
Final Edit and Mishani Honour possess good early speed. WRITTEN ACLAIM (8) peaks and led beaten 1L here before coming back and missing by 2.6L over 1200m in the QTIS JEWEL (2yo). Finds a suitable assignment and sets a decent standard for the newcomers. VINCLEY (6) debuts for Richard Laming and has looked good at the trials. The wide gate is a negative, but may have the talent to manage. MISHANI HONOUR (3) led and gave it away late at Ipswich. Will be better for that and draws low. Can stick on a lot better. MISS INFORMED (10) needed the debut outing at Dalby. Has trialled well since, and the winkers go on. The gate is against.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Written Aclaim with the race form/experience.
2 12:59 TAB WE'RE ON Maiden Plate 1000m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of first starters. Tricky. MISS WILDCAT (10) peaks and is busting to win. Races forward and missed 1L here over 1000m the latest. Maps for the run of the race. HUSSON'S TREASURE (2) resumed over 800m at Ipswich, beaten 2.25 lengths. He's improved, and the longer sprint is sure to suit. Has to be considered. IT'S KAOS (9) won two trials and was expected to win at the Sunshine Coast on debut but didn't finish it off on a heavy track. Gets in light today with a 3kg claim and is worth another chance. KICKSTART (3) is having his first run for the Phillip Burns yard. Resumes after finishing fourth at Albury as a short-priced favourite. Fitter for a trial win at Beaudesert, and has the ability. FRENCH RIVIERA (7) has been given 52 days off since pulling up with an issue over 1650m at Doomben. Just missed there prior over the same trip and has been prepared for his return with an easy trial win at this track. Needs a good ride, but needs to be kept safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Wildcat appeals most.
3 01:34 SKY RACING QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000m
A strong gallop is likely with The Grand Duchy and Texas taking up the running, closely attended by Hello Punters and Encrypted Feeling. CARDONETTE (6) resumes for the premier Gollan yard and can win if the awkward barrier is managed. Brings three narrow defeats, including two in town. Owns and easy Doomben trial win and gets in well with the 2kg claim. Has been heavily bet and missed a nose at Eagle Farm at her lone fresh outing. HEAD OF THE RIVER (7) has placed her last two and has more to give. Will get every chance to fight out the finish. TEXAS (12) has switched to the Gollan yard. He raced forward 44-days ago at Hawkesbury on debut, but folded up. Was well supported and brings a close-up trial placing from Doomben. Has a handy gate and 2kg claim, and the betting will be key. HELLO PUNTERS (2) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish second over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. Has been freshened and has won a trial here since. Will push forward and will give a sight. THE GRAND DUCHY (14) is an improver who will also push forward. Should be around the mark.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cardonette to win.
4 02:09 XXXX GOLD OPEN Handicap 1200m
Poseidon's Son should spear straight to the front of the small field. BLITZBURG (6) had been knocking on the door before finding the grade too tough at Doomben. Has strong relative numbers and gets some gear switched. On a quick backup, and this is a suitable assignment. SLIPPIN' JIMMY (1) is a distance specialist who bounced back last start by a head as the public elect over 1100m at Ipswich. Suitably placed, anticipating another big run. POSEIDON'S SON (4) made it four wins in a row last time out when he scored by 0.6 lengths over 1175m at Grafton. Has been heavily bet and is in a sharp yard. Likely to be in the finish again. SAILOR'S SECRET (2) raced close to the lead before clearing out to score an effortless 2.25 lengths win over 1400m at this track last time. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and has to be included in calculations.BADGERS NUTS (3) just missed the hat-trick at Ipswich first-up when expected to need it. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Having something on Blitzburg.
5 02:44 HAPPY 40TH PETE RENTON BENCHMARK 75 Handicap 1000m
Expecting a strong gallop with Flaming Conquest and Find Your Own taking up the running over Concession. STATE IN TEXAS (1) peaks off three wins over 800m at Ipswich. He's run some decent races over 1000m, and Newman's 2kg claim is handy. Has a chance if things work out. HIDDEN MELODY (4) resumed here in Open grade and needed the outing. Proven second-up, and this suits much better. Has a 2kg claim and soft gate and has to be considered. CONCESSION (8) has been briefly freshened and was around the mark last time at Eagle Farm. Tumbles in weight and should enjoy a good run. FLAMING CONQUEST (3) peaks and may control the race from the inside gate. Is back from Open grade with a 2kg claim and will give a sight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: State In Texas to win.
6 03:24 OFFICIATING AT AQUIS Class 3 Handicap 1400m
Rockrata and Gaming have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. CORDINA (9) is in the strong Vandyke yard and is ready to win again. Has had two starts for the stable, and lifted strongly to salute by 1.75 lengths three runs back at Nowra. Capable of using the inside gate, and she has some weight relief. HEAVENLY IMPACT (2) has placed his last two here in stronger off wide gates. Draws better today and should be right in it. FORTY TIMES (12) impressed here second-up over 1300m, beaten a half-length after settling a mile back. There was a lot to like about that effort. Will have to do it the hard way again but tumbles in weight and the longer sprint suits. FIVE RINGS (7) returned to his best form, winning a CL2 over 1509m at Port Macquarie. Hit the line hard and expect it to stack up. Has some weight relief, and he can come into it late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cordina appeals most.
7 04:04 GOLD COAST BOWLS & COMMUNITY CLUB BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Good tempo anticipated with Spirit Of Brodie and Statement Of Truth leading the way. Tough. NEW HAMPSHIRE (1) was beaten a whisker at the Sunshine Coast before spelling and did a good job first-up, beaten 1L in stronger at Ipswich. Has placed 5/6 second up and the longer sprint suits. He's well overdue and gets his chance to break back. NATIONAL INTEREST (5) settled towards the tail first-up, before winding up strongly to score by 0.8 lengths over 1200m at Ipswich. Rates highly and is proven 2x second-up. A decent chance to go back-to-back. SHORTCUT (13) resumes for the sharp Matt Dunn yard and brings strong metro form. Has placed 2/2 first-up and will be naturally improved. Has a handy 2kg claim but will need some luck from the wide gate. SPIRIT OF BRODIE (4) comes back to turf and will be fitter. Has a low gate and will be around the mark.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to New Hampshire.
8 04:44 TAB HOLLINDALE STAKES DAY ON SALE NOW Class 1 Handicap 1400m
Expecting Elysium to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Open race. ELYSIUM (15) was heavily bet resuming this track trip for the Michael Freedman yard and folded up late from the speed. Has been freshened and has been kept up to the mark with a trial placing here. Just missed at Newcastle before the spell and with the extra fitness can take this out. The former Victorian STRANGLEHOLD (2) resumed with a placing over 1350m at Ipswich, and it was a tough effort after settling rearwards. Is still well shy of his best, and the blinkers are on again. KIRKALL (11) led as a short-priced favourite at Coffs Harbour but folded right up after leading. The form leading up to that reads well enough and expect him to take a sit today from the inside draw. SWIFT DUKE (6) finds a more suitable race and is another worth considering.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Elysium should be tough to beat.
