NUM TIME COMMENT
1 03:20 Two-Up TROBIS Class 2 Handicap 1300m
Strong early tempo assured with Whitten, Assertin Lady and Gotta Beat locking horns. DESARMER (1) was put aside after winning his first start in the area since moving from Victoria earlier in the season. His freshen-up would have done him no harm and he won't find this much harder. Go again. WHITTEN (2) has been racing well and has the fitness edge over the top pick. 1300 metres might be at the top of his range but he is still capable of figuring in the finish again. NASSAU COUNTY (5) finished third fresh up here nearly 3 weeks ago and went close to breaking through when trained in Queensland. He has 4-kilos less to carry this time and even though he is still a maiden, he can run into the money again. MEANT FOR MARS (7) is another maiden who is racing in good heart. He was third in a similar class last time out and should be thereabouts again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Desarmer to win.
2 03:54 ANZAC Day Handicap 1200m
Hot tempo expected with Siakam, Wolfburn and Swing With Junior heading the charge. WOLFBURN (2) is back home after a couple of runs at Morphettville to open this campaign. He is nearly 8 weeks between runs so the drop back to a sprint should not be an issue. He might need the run but is very well placed at this level and from a handy gate, he can't be risked. SIAKAM (1) is knocking on the door with 3 consecutive second placings in a row to commence this prep. He has not missed a cheque in 6 starts over this trip, including 2 wins. Hard to beat. HAMLET VON SNITZEL (3) finished third in his first start since making the move from Queensland and he usually improves quickly with racing. The extra 100 metres is ideal and he will pick up another win at short notice. SWING WITH JUNIOR (4) has won 2 of her last 4 starts and is only up half a kilo in weight for this. She is seldom far away and another win is not beyond her. ZOUMIST (5) did not kick on as expected last start after a solid resuming effort for second last month. She is good enough to make amends here. Can win.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Wolfburn to win.
3 04:27 Light Horse Brigade Handicap 1200m
Expecting a very strong tempo with lots of early pressure, predominantly from Captain George, Go Bundle and Kirakat. CAPTAIN GEORGE (2) tried hard last time out when finishing runner-up here by a head nearly a fortnight ago. He drops right down in class for his peak run and is nicely poised to go one better. ALPHA FLIGHT (1) did not fire in his first 2 starts for his new trainer Gary Clarke and has been given more time to acclimatize. He will find this easier and his stable normally gets results with similar types. He has drawn the pole position and the markets will be an important guide. Can win. MOTIVATED MISS (4) won her first run here after making the move from Queensland and her next 4 runs were not too bad. The recent spell would have done her the world of good and she is capable of taking this out fresh up. TURNSTAR (6) has been battling in similar fields and is worth including in all multiples due to the small field size.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Captain George to win.
4 04:59 Thank You Defence Personnel Handicap 1100m
Plenty of early pressure from Lord Fenrir and Stars The Limit battling for the lead over Minister. STARS THE LIMIT (7) finished runner-up when resuming here as favourite nearly 2 weeks ago. He has a better record second up and can go one better. Follow your money. CANADA BAY (4) is making her local debut after not coming up in Sydney earlier in the season. She resumes at an easier level and can take this out, especially if the money comes for her. KARATEMISS (5) is an ex-Victorian mare who was in good form at the beginning of her last prep before losing her way later on. A change of environment can really help the older mares and she can't be ruled out of winning this. Watch the markets closely. YAROOMBA (1) peaked on his run late when resuming in this track nearly 6 weeks ago. He is much better than that and can bounce back and win this. Stick with him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Yaroomba each-way.
5 05:30 Lest We Forget Handicap 1600m
Small field but New Enterprise, Bart's Bullet and Rising Fire can ensure a genuine tempo. ZOURISKY (5) was a beaten favourite in a slightly tougher field last time out after winning easily in this grade before that. She steps right up to a mile in an interesting move but it could be what she needs to find the winners' circle again. Follow your money. BART'S BULLET (3) was a tough winner by a head in lesser company on this track just under a fortnight ago and he normally holds his form. He carries the same weight and has been very competitive at this level in the past. Stick with him on an each-way basis. RISING FIRE (4) doesn't win often but is seldom far from the action. He will be peaking third up and certainly deserves another win. NEW ENTERPRISE (2) raced his way into full fitness and broke through for a deserved win last start in a similar lineup. He has no issue with a mile and is capable of winning again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: New Enterprise each way.
