A stack of early pressure, primarily from Tryanza. TRYANZA (3) made it 2/3 winning first up at Armidale. Keeps a 2kg claim and will lead or box seat. Tougher but he shows plenty of promise. LARA'S LAULET (11) resumes and has switched from a NSW yard. Led and won a Taree Maiden two-back fresh and followed with a decent effort at Wyong. Will push forward and may return even better. MASTER GEE (1) pulled up with an issue and then wasn't far away at Gatton. Led and just missed here three back heavily-bet and that stacks right up. SUISSE SCANDAL (9) has switched to the Currie yard and didn't come up last preparation for Gollan. Showed plenty early doors and draws handy with a 3kg claim. No surprise if he's back on song. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Tryzana. |

Expecting Ariat to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. NEW YORK GAL (8) peaks and is knocking on the door. Finds a touch easier and the near miss here this grade two back reads particularly well. Has the blinkers applied the first time and the 3kg claimer can use the low barrier. Go close. PUREZZA (9) led and improved again beaten a lip here in a CL2 on a heavy track. Deserves a win and the 2kg claim brings her right into it. ARIAT (13) won two trials and then was too good for the Gatton Maidens on debut. Stanley stays aboard and that's a lead. Fitter and gets her chance to take the next step. AUSBRED BLUEBIRD (7) resumes for Currie and has switched from a NSW barn. Will race over further but gets in well with the 3kg claim and will be around the mark if she's presented forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with New York Gal. |

Fun Sponge should lead at a strong tempo. DEFERENTIAL (10) won the Maiden easily first-up and has followed with two narrow defeats at Eagle Farm. Tumbles in weight and has been freshened. Shapes as the one to beat. SPILL THE TEARS (4) found the grade too tough at Doomben and go on the easy first-up win here in this grade. Has won 2/2 third-up and the 1.5kg claimer will use the low barrier. MILL ROSSA (1) peaks for the Currie yard and was close-up here this grade last time. He will likely push forward and the 3kg claim brings him into it. MENARI MAGIC (6) was outgraded at Eagle Farm but the form prior stacks up. A chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Deferential. |

Peach Galantes will press forward early in a keen battle for top spot. TIME TO LAUNCH (10) peaks and was expected to win here last time but didn't manage the heavy track. Went close the two prior and presents on the fresh side. Will push forward and go close on a better surface. FOSSIL FUEL (3) is metro-trained and will be sharper second up. Looked good early doors on firm tracks and fitter can feature. HARRY THE HORSE (4) showed enough on debut at Gatton despite jumping a 40-1 chance there and finds himself in a suitable race today. Always plenty of early pressure in sprint races such as this with a large representation of first starters. Tricky and the betting will be instructive. Of the raced DRANG A TANG (2) resumes for the Currie yard and owns an easy trial win. Has a handy gate and should have won by now. Can come back even better and will race handy. PRINCESS MONEYBAGS (5) debuts for a sharp metro barn and brings a Doomben trial win. She looks promising. KICKATINALONG (4) is a local who was good in her recent trial. She will get every chance from an inside barrier. SIRI SAY RUBICK (6) is another local on debut jumping from a handy gate. Showed enough in her trial to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Drang A Tang with the race experience. |

Fitter and has plenty up the sleeve. ON HOLD (4) is a leader who's been knocking on the door at 1000m. Has switched yards on a 15-day return and consider. ORTHIE'S GIRLS (8) resumes and is ex-NSW. Hidden Melody can burn across from the deep to take up the running. HIDDEN MELODY (7) brought strong form from Victoria and went well first up over this trip switched to the Campton yard. The claimer has to manage an awkward barrier but the filly is the one to beat on what we've seen. SALACIA (10) is an improver from the Currie barn and keeps a 3kg claim. On a 7-day return and should be in the finish. BEAU'S GIRL (6) resumes for a new yard. Won a trial but following didn't perform on the Sunshine Coast heavy on debut. A betting watch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hidden Melody would be too good at best. |
