1 11:30 4RACING WELCOMES YOU MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE 1160m
BELIEVE IN FATE (1) produced a decent debut effort over 1200m at the Vaal. He understandably raced greenly but fought on at the finish. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat. BEYNAC (2) made a solid debut over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. He was green in the running, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. He will enjoy the extra 160m on offer and should make the natural progression. Each way. TOKYO MEDAGLIA (7) is an unraced son of William Longsword from the Roy Magner stable with Raymond Danielson in the saddle. He is well-related and is sure to have his admirers. BOURBON RESERVE (3) is on debut from the powerful Sean Tarry barn and a market watch is advised.

KHETHIWE'S DESTINY (4) produced a promising debut effort here over this trip. She showed speed and fought on for third at the finish. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat. FIERY PEGASUS (3) ran a creditable race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. She would have come on from the run and is one of the leading contenders. SILVER PARASOL (7) battled on gamely when fourth here over this distance on debut. She returns from a 14-week break and is having her first run for trainer Alec Laird. If not in need of this outing, she should be involved in the fight to the finish. RODEO DRIVE (5) ran a decent race for second on debut over 800m on this course. She returns from a spell, during which time she would have strengthened up. Kabelo Matsunyane is booked to ride and she should make the natural progression. Each way value.

WILD AT WAR (10) is better than his last start as he was reported to have suffered a lower leg cut that day. He has been placed in both his efforts under jockey Philasande Mxoli. He meets the right field today and can shed his maiden tag. BREGARDT (1) ran a fair race in his last start over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. In this line-up, he can improve quickly and figure in the finish. LA CHANCE (6) finished 3 lengths behind the second pick in seventh place last time. It is encouraging that top hoop Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and the pair merit healthy respect. TRIP TO STATES (2) battled on well enough in his last start over 1200m at the Vaal. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and he is capable of getting a slice of the finish here at some each-way value.

POINTER (11) produced a promising debut effort over 1000m here on the Inside course. The manner in which she ran on at the finish was encouraging and that form has since been franked. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to side with. OXALIS GOLD (10) fought on resolutely when second on debut over 1450m here on the Inside course. The drop to 1160m is a slight concern but she has plenty of scope and cannot be ignored. INTRO (9) was running on strongly when second over 1200m at the Vaal last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on her and if she can get away to a clean start, she should be involved at the finish. BELLISSIVAR (8) showed very good improvement in her last start over 1000m at the Vaal. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter for this. If she can cope with the longer journey then she is definitely worth including in all multiples.

DECEPTION PASS (2) is lightly raced with good form lines to his name. He raced from a handy position last time out and rallied late to finish second. He is having his peak run today and he will be cherry-ripe. He can go one better. ROSSORE FINALE (1) may not have seen out the 2000m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He finished second in his previous two efforts over this distance he can bounce straight back into form. SAKURAJIMA (10) has produced two decent efforts to date. If Kabelo Matsunyane can switch him off early, he should go close to winning. MASTER FORESTER (9) finished fifth in the same race as the third pick last time out. He did not help himself by making a slow start and will be better for the run as well. Stick with him for all combination wagers.

MAMBO COME TESIO (2) showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1800m here on the Inside course. The manner in which he ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. He is having his peak run third up and can return to winning ways. SILVANO'S SONG (7) finished only a head behind the top pick in fourth place last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. ARLINGTON ACTION (3) ran on strongly when winning his last start over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He rises in class but is in a good space and merits healthy respect. YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (1) took on stronger company in his last start over 1800m. He is better placed at this level and has sound each-way claims at t decent odds.
7 03:08 TAKE A BET WINA NUMBA NUMBA MIDDLE STAKES 1400m
CELESTIAL CITY (3) battled on gamely when second over 1600m in Stake class last time. That form has since been franked. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this course. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he is the one to beat. GOOD QUEEN BESS (1) showed good speed when third in her last start in Grade 3 company. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She is in a good space and should be right in the finish again. JURY'S OUT (4) won a good race in his last start over this distance at the Vaal. He faces a tougher field here but looks up to the task and another win immediately is not beyond him. FREE MOVEMENT (7) is better than his last start and the 11-week break may have done him the world of good. He is worth another chance at some each-way value.

ELEGANT ICE (6) only battled last time out after a solid third fresh up. She has been placed in all 4 starts on this course. Raymond Danielson is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most. CULLINAN BLUE (1) should have won her last start as she hung out in the latter stages. She returns from a spell that may have done her the world of good. She has a good record fresh up and is one of the leading contenders. FLOWERBOMB (2) is better than her last start in Garde 3 company suggests. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should figure in the finish. Stick with her. MIDNIGHT GEM (7) challenged strongly in her last start but had to settle for a game second place. She is in a good space and with luck in the running, she could even go one better here.

WAR QUEEN (1) had an excuse last start when she choked down in the running that day. She won a good race in her penultimate outing under Raymond Danielson. She drops down in class this time and may be hard to peg back. GREEN FLASH (2) won her last race at a nice price over 1000m at the Vaal. She is up in weight but clearly has ability and she is one of the leading contenders. REDCHERRY LANE (7) won a good race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. She is up in class but has the scope to progress right through the grades. Stick with her. SIMPLY MAGIC (8) won a good race in her last start over 1000m at the Vaal. She does take a rise in class but is nicely placed at the weights and cannot be underestimated.
10 05:00 NEXT TURFFONTEIN RACEMEETING SUNDAY 12 MAY MR 80 HANDICAP 1000m
QUICK TRIP (6) followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. She should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and can make an immediate return to the winners' circle here. COVERT OPERATOR (1) fought on bravely when third here over this trip last start. It must be noted that the form of that race has since been franked. He will strip fitter and is the main threat to the top pick. DUKE OF ROCK (8) challenged strongly in his last start but was outrun late and had to settle for second place. He steps back up in class but is in a good space and must be included in all bets. STORMY SEAS (10) finished fourth and not far behind the third pick in the same race last time out. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Each way value.
