NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:00 Maiden Race 1400m
QUEEN'S ATRIA (9) turned in a good effort on debut 11 weeks ago when half a length away in second at this track over 1400m. Has not been to the races since that outing. Sure to have improved over the break and looks well placed to be in the finish again. LANCE OF SIHR (16) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was always up in the leading division over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Progressive type who is ready to find winning ways. EPIPHA D'OR (15) has been in the betting recently but hasn't managed to live up to market expectations. Most recently finished fifth over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Right in the mix on her best figures. BERENICE (12) was in contention on the corner and finished third last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Hard to beat in this similar race.
2 10:35 Maiden Race 1900m
ARMALCOLITE (2) filled yet another minor placing last time when 2 lengths adrift in third over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt as a $1.30 favourite. Always competitive and in a race of few chances he looks ready to break through. SHAREHOLDERS (10) settled handy and was only fair when he finished fourth last start over 1800m at this track, beaten 8 lengths. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Expecting a bold showing. JUN LA TOUR (1) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1900m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. MIGRATEUR (5) settled well back last time out then found the line okay to finish 6 lengths away in seventh over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt. Should prove tough to hold out.
3 11:05 Maiden Race 1200m
BEE KONG (10) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 1200m at this track when he was in the firing line all the way. Best figures measure up in this field so he gets his chance. DUEL (3) was well fancied last time out but disappointed in finishing fourth over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt, beaten 4.5 lengths. This offers him a great chance of making amends. TAISEI ARES (2) just missed two runs back then was in the market last time out but after being in the firing line on the corner didn't live up to expectations, finishing eighth over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Should feature in the finish this time. GOLDEN TIPS (13) finished third last start over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 1.5 lengths. Getting better with racing and is sure to be prominent.
4 11:35 Maiden Race 1800m
AN DURA (9) has been in the money three times from three runs this prep, including last start when third over 1800m at this track. Has a solid record at this journey, finishing in the money on four occasions. This looks his race to lose. SMART REGALIA (12) is on debut for the Ryo Terashima stable. Three-year-old colt by Isla Bonita from Anfi Del Mar. One to keep close tabs on in a race that lacks quality. MOZU YUIYUI (11) is a three-start maiden who finished eighth at his most recent appearance over 1900m at this track. Finds the right race and is worth consideration. KARAO YABURE (3) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 10 lengths behind the winner in 11th over 2000m at Chukyo. Open to plenty of improvement based on some market support last time.
5 12:25 Maiden Race 2200m
CULMINALE (1) found the line nicely to grab second last time out over 2200m at Hanshin. That was his first try at the trip so he should improve off that run. Expected to be in the finish again. R AND B (12) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 2000m at this track. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. SHAH ZAMAN (4) is a three-year-old colt at the races for the first time. From an elite family, his half-brothers being Grade 1 winners Shahryar and Al Ain. Sure to be well-educated, being from the H Fujiwara stable. Big market watch. GALBANUM (13) finished powerfully to get up for second last time over 2000m at Fukushima when resuming from a spell, beaten 2 lengths. Ready to go one better.
6 12:55 Allowance Race 1200m
PROMISING STAR (13) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Generally goes well here at this trip, finishing in the frame at all three attempts. Should run well. DISTANT SKY (14) finished 6 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt, an improvement on his 14th at Tokyo Dirt the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SOMEDAY (11) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1200m at this track. Worth including. MON CHERI (4) has not been sighted since she finished sixth over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt on February 25. In the money at her other three starts. Anticipating a bright return.
7 01:25 Allowance Race 1600m
WORLD'S END (6) ran on well despite being friendless in betting when resuming last time over 1600m in the G3 Arlington Cup at Hanshin, finishing fourth and beaten 1.1 lengths. Strong prospects in this far easier race. ALTOUM (4) is going well and knocking on the door, last time out finishing second over 1600m at Hanshin and only half a length from the winner. Settles back early but winds up late. Leading contender. PACIFIC HIGH (1) recorded a strong maiden win over 1600m at Hanshin last time, getting there by 2.5 lengths. Winning rider Katsuma Sameshima stays aboard and she is right in the mix again. ECORO MARS (3) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1600m at Nakayama after missing the placings at the previous appearance. No surprise to see him in the frame.
8 01:55 Allowance Race 1800m
ADMIRE SORA (3) showed good early speed then led into the straight when fresh from a spell last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten half a length, over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Rates highly and will be hard to peg back. DIA GRAF (6) was prominent from the outset and fought on for third last start over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt, making it three minor placings in a row. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. GOWRON (10) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Strips fitter and can play a major role. LEGEND SHIP (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2.25 lengths over 1800m at this track. Should be about the money.
9 02:25 KAMOGAWA TOKUBETSU 2000m
BRITANNIA (7) finished 1.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1800m at Hanshin when fresh from a spell. Tackles a longer journey this time which will suit. The testing material. DANON FREUDE (6) was unwanted in betting when resuming last start but performed beyond expectations when beaten a head into second over 2000m at Hanshin. Good second-up performer who should feature again. MEISHO UNEBI (1) ran another honest race last time out, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2600m at Fukushima after being prominent at the turn. The engagement of Take is a positive sign. TOA RAIDEN (4) was safely held when fifth last time out over 1600m at Hanshin, beaten 3.5 lengths, after a win at Kokura at the previous outing. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
10 03:05 HEIJOKYO STAKES 1800m
OUTRANGE (3) scored an impressive win by 3 lengths when resuming from a spell last time out over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Unbeaten in two starts when second-up and looks sure to be in the finish again. T O RICARDO (7) finished second behind T O Drefong at Chukyo Dirt over this distance at his latest outing. Form here is strong with two wins from four starts. Sure to play a big role. SUNDAY FUNDAY (9) is back after a break of ten weeks. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Sure to make his presence felt. Z LIEN (15) is back from a spell of ten weeks and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 1900m at this track. Worth plenty of thought.
11 03:35 THE KYOTO SHIMBUN HAI 2200m
VELOCE ERA (7) was beaten just a neck last start when second in a small field over 2400m at Hanshin. Promising stayer who looks ready to tackle this tougher race at just his fourth trip to the races. ADMIRE TERRA (14) settled well back when resuming last time out then found the line strongly to finish 2 lengths away in fourth over 2000m in Listed grade at Hanshin. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and looks suited by the extra ground. Will be in the finish. IN THE MOMENT (12) was impressive last time over 2400m at Hanshin, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Beaten just half a length at Grade 3 level the start prior. One of the main contenders again. BELLAGIO BOND (8) lines up on the back of a 6 length third over 1800m at Hanshin in the Grade 3 Mainichi Hai. Ticks all the right boxes.
12 04:10 Allowance Race 1600m
SEVEN SUMMIT (3) met with solid support when resuming last start over 1600m at this track and finished third, beaten 4.5 lengths. Strips fitter and will enjoy a lovely run from an inside gate. Worth following. SWEEP AWARDS (9) was comfortably accounted for when seventh last start over 1600m at Hanshin, beaten 4 lengths. That followed a good first-up win at the same circuit. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. TAGANO SHANSU (7) started favourite when resuming but found one better over 1400m at Hanshin. Looks well placed stepping out in trip. Can figure in the finish. I'LL SHINE (5) improved sharply last time out to score by a neck over 1600m at Chukyo when fresh from an eight-week let-up. Comes here off the same break and can feature prominently.
