NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:40 JONKER FIRST WEANLINGS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1650m
Without a great deal of early pace evident Pariah On Fire may find herself in front. MERCHANT FLYER (3) drifted back from wide draw two starts back and made ground along the inside for 7th of 14 in 1350m Mdn at Ipswich. Stepped up to 1690m last start at Ipswich in 3YO Mdn and tried hard when finishing a close second. Looks well-placed and can make his presence felt here. THUNDER SHANGHAI (12) is lightly raced and worked to the line quite well last start for third in 1400m Mdn this track. Up in trip again and looks a genuine chance. WEEKEND ARTIST (7) is worth plenty of consideration coming off two 3rd placings in past two starts in maidens over 1200m on the Gold Coast Poly track. Steps up in distance here and is racing well. PARIAH ON FIRE (10) well beaten in a city maiden last start over 2060m but has to be considered off third placing this track and trip two starts ago when she raced on the pace. HIMEJI (2) is first-up but has had barrier trials to ready him for a return and could be one for multiples.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Merchant Flyer to win.
2 12:19 AQUIS BEAUDESERT RACEDAY 1 JUNE Class 3 Handicap 1650m
Jimmy Neutron to set a strong early tempo joined by Wonforwazza pushing on from an outside draw. PURVEYOR (2) built momentum in the straight to win at Ipswich in 3YO BM62 over 1350m two starts ago then finished 16th of 17 in the Listed Daybreak Lover (1400m) at Eagle Farm on April 20. Has the addition of blinkers and can be expected to go well in this grade. TIRITIRI (3) won this track over 1300m as a short-priced favourite in a C1 two starts ago before a midfield finish at Grafton on April 1. Has had a nice tick-over trial since and is capable of figuring here. KERCHAK (1) has three wins from seven starts. Finished 8th of 12 in 1805m BM68 at Doomben last start but before that closed strong late to win on the Gold Coast Poly track. Genuine chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Purveyor here.
3 12:54 GLENFIDDICH FIRST WEANLINGS Maiden Handicap 1400m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Au Killes. ARAMINTA (7) was a close 4th in a bunched finish as favourite three back at Doomben and last start at Doomben she arguably should have finished much closer when unable to get clear running at crucial stages in the straight when 7th of 13 in 1350m 3YO Mdn. Has placed three of eight starts and gets her chance to break through here. ROTHESAY'S LAD (2) started in the market as a $7.50 chance when getting a long way back from a wide draw and finishing 11th of 14 in 1200m Sunshine Coast Mdn on debut on April 25. Worth another chance here from the inside draw. WITH DIAMONDS (14) is back in distance with four weeks between runs since last-start 4th in 1900m Gold Coast Poly track Mdn on April 6. Each-way claims. MAJESTIC TEAKO (4) looks one of the leading contenders after sticking on solidly for a close 3rd first-up at Grafton in 1230m Mdn on April 9. VIKING BLOOD (11) could be one for multiples first-up if he performs to his best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Araminta to win.
4 01:29 BEAUDESERT CUP RACEDAY 6 JULY Maiden Handicap 1400m
Benedict Arnold to take up the running with Chicka and Champonnet close at hand. WITHOUT A DOUBT (10) didn't have the best of luck in the straight when 4th in 1200m Grafton Mdn on April 1 then came wide and worked home solidly in the straight for 6th of 13 in Grafton Super Mdn April 14 over 1410m. Expect he can make his presence felt here. CHAMPONNET (7) was beaten less than 3 lengths in Sunshine Coast 1200m Mdn last start and has been scratched from a race at Lismore on Saturday. Capable of figuring here. THE MANAGER (4) has trialled nicely leading into his return and has been strong through the line in both his career starts to date. Looks right in the mix here. ZOUGIRL (6) raced wide at Ipswich when 8th of 14 in 1350m Mdn on heavy track at her second career start. From a better draw could improve here. KINGFIELD (1) makes his debut and is from the Chris Waller stable. Warming up late in a recent Gold Coast trial. Wouldn't surprise to see him figure but betting might provide best guide.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Without A Doubt
5 02:04 TAB WE'RE ON BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400m
Genuine pace with Our Free Spirit taking up the running ahead of Ma's Epic and Passionate Rebel. MILLWARD (5) did a bit of work early before settling outside the leader at Doomben last start in 1660m Bm75 and battled on in straight to finish fifth. Drops in grade and from a nice draw he can give this a shake. MA'S EPIC (9) was third as favourite in 1350m F&M BM62 at Ipswich two starts ago then led and just went down by a nose when $1.90 favourite in 1200m BM58 on Gold Coast Poly track April 13. Has a wide draw but can give a good sight again. DRIALLE (7) placed twice in his past four starts and goes into this off a last-start 8th in a BM70 at Eagle Farm on April 20 over 1400m. Respect in this grade from a good draw. SIENNA'S AWARD (10) has been narrowly beaten in past two starts at Gatton in BM62 grade and won the start before that at the same track. Has to be considered again from a soft draw. PASSIONATE REBEL (6) was just behind SIENNA'S AWARD in two of those Gatton races so he has claims here as well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Happy to go with Millward.
6 03:14 KOBAYASHI @ AQUIS STALLIONS Maiden Plate 1100m
Pace from Discotheque and Dare To Love who will cross from wide alleys. FLYING D'AMORE (9) is lightly raced with one placing from three starts. Resumed from a spell and started $4.50 when 5th of 11 in 1200m Mdn at Doomben on April 17. That looks strong enough form for a race like this and she has drawn to get every chance to break through. DISCOTHEQUE (2) was grabbed right on the line when a close second in Ballina Maiden first-up before fading late for 6th when right in the market in a 1030m Mdn at Grafton last start. Capable of a bold showing here. DARE TO LOVE (5) was runner-up on debut at Gatton two starts ago at big odds and could give some cheek on the pace. LEMON SUPREME (4) was third in a maiden at this track last week and a repeat of that could have him in the mix again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Flying D'amore on top.
7 03:50 TAB FASTER VISION BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Slick pace with Full Cry finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. HEARSAY (6) resumes and has a win and two placings from three first-up attempts. Won her only start at this track when first-up last preparation and has drawn nicely to run well again. FULL CRY (5) was unplaced last start but before that figured in the top three placings in each of his previous five starts. Definite chance on his best form. MISSION RIDGE (2) was beaten less than a length when third in Grafton C2 over 1006m last start and can give a good sight again here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hearsay each-way.
8 04:30 COUNTRY LUNCHEON 6 JULY BOOK NOW BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Cracking pace early with Speak Now, Rock Together and Sonny Daze leading the charge. SPEAK NOW (1) was formerly in the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable and is now with trainer Michael Morrison. Had good form in Victoria last campaign and this looks a winnable race first-up for the new stable from the inside draw. First-up last time SPEAK NOW won a BM64 over 1300m on the Sandown-Lakeside course. SONNY DAZE (8) was unplaced last start but prior to that had won a 1200m C1 on the Gold Coast Poly track first-up and then finished a close 2nd as favourite in a 1050m C2 on the same track. Has Michael Cahill aboard and looks an each-way chance. THUNDER MANIA (7) ran 7th at the Sunshine Coast last start on a heavy track but on a better-rated surface he could certainly improve. In the mix on his best form from a good draw. SO GREYSFUL (11) won two starts back at Grafton and has also drawn nicely here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Speak Now.
9 04:58 BEAUDESERTRACECLUB.COM RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1100m
Expecting plenty of pace with a big field engaged over the short course. MONEY BEAR (2) formerly trained by Chris Munce and now stepping out for trainer Jason Patton. Was well in the market last start when unplaced in 1200m BM62 at Warwick but has won two from two over 1100m including in this grade at Gatton last preparation. Looks to have definite each-way claims from a good draw with blinkers on. SHAPIN POWER (9) has drawn nicely and should find this easier than recent city assignments including last-start 10th in F&M BM65 at Doomben on April 3. MISS SHU (11) resumes and looks capable of giving this a real shake. Drawn nicely and prior to her break was only narrowly beaten as a short-priced favourite in 3YO BM58 at Ipswich over 1200m. I STOLE IT (5) placed at Ballina two starts ago then covered ground when unplaced at Doomben last time. Can improve here, while TOP BABE (10) could be a value runner for multiples from the inside draw if she runs up to her best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Money Bear each-way.
