NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:16 LICKISS FABRICATIONS/CAKE MARKETING MAIDEN PLATE 1110m
Russian Inn has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. SELF WORTH (9) finished sixth over 1200m at Coffs Harbour at her most recent appearance on October 13. Capable of playing a major role. RUSSIAN INN (8) failed to figure again last time over 1030m at Grafton, beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth. Should camp just off the leaders. Expected to be in the finish. BARRON (1) resumed last start over 1030m at Grafton and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish third, beaten 1.4 lengths. Can figure in the finish again. OFFICE POLITICS (2) was beaten 2 lengths into fifth in a 860m contest at Gatton two weeks ago. No surprise to see him in contention.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 9,8,1,2.
2 01:51 GLENDENNING GROUP ARCHITECTS PTY LTD.MAIDEN PLATE 1210m
Without any speed horses lining up it is not expected they will go too hard. TORQUE OF DREAMS (9) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she got a long way back over 1200m at Grafton, beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh. Has the talent to figure prominently. BELLE OF THE BAYOU (3) was ridden quietly from a good draw last start before closing nicely to get up for seventh over 1106m at Grafton. Nicely placed and expected to go well. KID BILLY (2) has filled a minor placing on two occasions in five starts. Failed to add to the tally last time out when eighth over 1410m at Grafton. Has a good record at this distance with two top-three results from three starts. Worth including. KIRSTEN (5) finished 4 lengths away in tenth at her last appearance over 1106m at Grafton on April 14. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Torque Of Dreams to win.
3 02:26 BYRON GOURMET PIES MAIDEN HANDICAP 1410m
Moderate tempo headed by Kurabenii, Chicka and The Princess. WATERMELON (2) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 1.75 lengths away in fourth over 1150m at Gold Coast Poly. Will drift back but is sure to prove tough to beat. VIKING BLOOD (7) returns from a spell of five months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 1350m at Ipswich. Should be hard to stop. SON OF HEROIC (6) is a maiden galloper resuming today after a spell of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a 12th over 1590m at Ballina, beaten 29 lengths. Sharpened for this with a placing in a recent trial. Shapes as one to consider. CHAMPONNET (9) was beaten 2.75 lengths into seventh over 1200m at Sunshine Coast three weeks ago. Better than recent efforts suggest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Watermelon to win.
4 03:01 SOUTH LISMORE AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1310m
Little early pressure with Champagnes On Me, Indented Head and Blue Velvet prominent. INDENTED HEAD (2) is back at the races for the first time since December 30. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1205m at Sale. Expect her to play a major role with the blinkers added. BOOMI'S BUDDY (1) didn't do a bad job to finish one length away in fifth last start over 1200m at Warwick. That followed a first-up win at Warwick. Perfectly placed and is sure to make amends. BRAVE INSTINCTION (10) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1000m at Casino, beaten 5.5 lengths. Has never missed the placings at the second run back. Strips fitter and can feature. AUSBRED YAHOO (4) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1450m at Kempsey. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,1,10,4.
5 03:36 GREG CLARK BUILDING TRINITY CUP BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1526m
Genuine tempo with I'mtimmyzou leading the way. VALENTINO TEASE (12) got the prize two runs ago at Beaudesert. Couldn't follow that up last time out when fifth over 2000m at Warwick, beaten 6 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the ability to find the winners' list. REGINA'S GIRL (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1630m at Grafton, beaten 2.25 lengths into seventh. Has the talent to find the winners' list. FILL YOUR HEART (9) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 1 when beaten 4 lengths into sixth at Grafton over 1430m. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. CLUSTER'S REIN (4) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1350m at Ipswich, beaten 5.5 lengths. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Valentino Tease to win.
6 04:16 ATA SCAFFOLDING BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1110m
Plenty of early pace with Confirm Nor Deny and Stoinka battling for the lead but there will be pressure from a few other on-pacers. MONEY BEAR (3) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 1200m at Warwick, beaten 5 lengths. Has the talent to find the winners' list. JUST FOR PLEASURE (10) booted up from the inside draw to lead last start and went on to score by 1.5 lengths at Grafton over 1195m. Sure to take some stopping again. ALPINE LADY (6) hasn't raced since finishing eighth over 1200m at Moruya on June 30 and has since switched trainers. Brought up to the mark with a trial win at Beaudesert. Good fresh performer with a win and one minor placings from four runs. Capable of taking this out. UNIQUE ELLE (11) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly, beaten 6 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,10,6,11.
