TROMBETTISTA (3) showed good speed over 1200m at the Vaal last time but found one too good on the day. He is having his peak run today and in this field he should be the one to beat. Rates highly. OKLAHOMA TWISTER (4) finished third in the same race as the above selection last start and has to be respected in this line-up. IN A BLUE MOON (2) stayed on well when finishing third of nine over 1800m at the Vaal last time out when well supported. Can atone. IRISH LOVE (1) was slightly disappointing in his last start over 1800m and was put out for a spell. Fresh-up has place prospects and should be included in exotic bets.
2 01:10 RACING TODAY MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE 1200m
COSMIC SPEED (2) ran a good race to finish second on debut over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course when well supported. He returns from a spell during which time he would have strengthened up. He should have no issues with the rise to 1200m and with the natural improvement that is expected should be the one to beat. CHESTNUT BOMBER (1) was well in need of his debut run last start. He would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement needed. Each-way claims. DANCE KING (3) was green in the running when third on debut over 1000m on this course last start. He should love the rise to 1200m and he should make the natural improvement. IT'S PERSONAL (4) jumps from an inside gate and following a last start fourth of 10 over 1000m at this track has place prospects.
3 01:45 PLAY SOCCER 6, 10 AND 13 MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
DRAGON DRAGON (7) showed good improvement when finishing second in her last start over this course and distance. She is a progressive type and with Richard Fourie in the saddle can go one place better. TOGETHER AGAIN (3) stayed on well when third over this distance at the Vaal last time. She is in a good space and rates well as one of the leading contenders. THE NAVY LARK (2) finished a close-up fourth last start. Nuzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her when it matters most. MAGIC SECRET (1) has shown improvement in her last two starts over 1000m. She should be ideally suited to 1200m and can finish in the top-three.

BAD MEDICINE (6) stayed on well when finishing second over 1000m on this course last start when on debut. He has been gelded since that last run which may have done the trick. He should have no issues with the rise to 1200m and with the natural improvement that is expected he will prove hard to beat. WAHEED (8) looked well in need of her debut effort over this distance at the Vaal when finishing fourth of nine. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Has solid each-way claims. GOLD AGENT (5) has fair form lines to her credit. She finished third in her only attempt over this course and distance. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her when it matters most. AND ACTION (1) placed second two starts back at Vaal but ran below expectations last time when finishing seventh of 15 over 1000m at Vaal. Has his share of ability and can finish in the money.
5 02:55 CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE 27 APRIL MR 96 HANDICAP 1000m
KARANGETANG (1) resumed from a spell last start over 1200m on this course and went a solid race to finish fourth of eight. He has won twice, finished second twice and third twice from 10 starts over this distance. With Gavin Lerena in the saddle and racing much fitter has winning claims. DREAMLAND (3) is a winner of his last two starts on the Standside course. He finished second in his only attempt over this course and distance three starts back. He is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick. WOMAN OF POWER (5) is having her third run this prep and having placed in that state previously is well worth an each-way ticket. WIND WATER (2) resumes from a spell having finished fifth of eight over 1000m at Vaal last time out. He jumps from an inside draw and if fit enough can place. Include in combinations.

CAPE LIGHTS (1) ran a decent race in her last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course, finishing fourth of nine. She has won once and finished second three times from five starts over this course and distance. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give her all the necessary assistance needed from the saddle. KISSING MACHINE (5) followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over this distance on the Standside course last start. She tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. Rates well as one of the leading contenders. MAGICAL FLIGHT (2) fought on well to finish second of 10 last start over 1400m on the Standside course when sent out at long odds. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this course and distance. May prove hard to peg back in the run home. THE PLAYBOY BOMBER (7) landed his maiden success over this course and distance last time. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Well placed in this line-up to go back-to-back.

POCKET WATCH (7) is better than his last start run at the Vaal would suggest. He won his maiden over this course and distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and may be hard to peg back. BLOOMINGTON (2) stayed on well when second of nine over this course and distance last time. He takes a drop in class and must be included in all bets. FUNKY MUSIC (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the placings last start over 1700m at this track. This doesn't look as hard and he rates well as one of the main chances. RAGNAR LOTHBROK (5) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at this track. He jumps from a good draw of four and in a fitter state has solid place claims.
