Plenty of pace from Waganse, Plover and Fez Kazuma vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. WAGANSE (2) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by 1.75 lengths last time out over 1600m at this track. Toshiki Yamamoto has been the pilot at his last three wins. Expecting a bold showing. PLOVER (4) booted up from the inside draw to lead last start and was there on straightening before being claimed and finishing second over 1400m at Mizusawa. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish again. PURE CHEMISTRY (11) started at $4.10 last time but could only manage seventh at Mizusawa over 1400m. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will be in this for a long way. HIRO SHIGE WAVE (6) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 1400m at Mizusawa only to fade late and finish fourth. Can figure in the finish.
