Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Charlies a potential leader. LADY SEGOSHA (1) was poorly away but recovered to be beaten just over two lengths on debut last start over this distance at Newcastle. Not as much depth to this maiden. Only needs to sort out her barrier manners to be right in the thick of things. CHARLIES (5) is a new arrival in the Edward Cummings stable and is fresh from a seven-week let-up. Ran a close third when fresh over 800m at Coffs Harbour in April. Recent trial winner who looks ready to strike quickly for the new yard. STRAIGHT SOUTH (10) is worth throwing in wider exotics first-up from a five-month spell. SUASION (4) STAR OF INDIGO (3). SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Segosha looks too good for these.
