Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Aeternum, Copperline and Giddy Girl prominent. COPPERLINE (4) has raced twice this prep, both times here at Scone, for two game wins. Sat outside the leader then went home a shade too well last time over 1100m. No reason he cannot get the job done again. GIDDY GIRL (2) opened this campaign with a couple of all-the-way wins then had a seven-week let-up and struggled over 900m at Newcastle. Finds a far more likeable set-up today so with luck from a wide gate she can spring back into form. NOR NOR WEST (5) is back after an 18-week spell. Won a BM66 over this distance at Dubbo last time in work. Heavy track off a break is the only query. The unbeaten SOBEK (7) returned from a five-month spell with a tidy win over 900m here three weeks ago. Promising three-year-old who is a definite threat. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Copperline in a very deep form race.
