Fast tempo assured with Duke Of Lorraine, Highway Code and Midnight Show going toe-to-toe. DUKE OF LORRAINE (4) ran very well on debut last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1400m at Vaal. Kept coming in a big field and looks ideally suited by the mile. Will be very hard to beat with that run under the belt. KNOWMORE (1) resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 1600m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Likely improver with winning claims. COVER CHARGE (3) put the writing on the wall last time when second at Vaal over 1600m, beaten 2.25 lengths. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. HIGHWAY CODE (5) is a maiden with two minor placings to his name. Could not improve on that record when resuming last start, winding up in fifth over 1500m at Vaal. Should take a lot from that last outing. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. One of the better hopes.
