Solid tempo with The Confidante leading from Jade Sunset and Landmark Lady. JADE SUNSET (10) is still a maiden but recent efforts better races at the provincials stamp her as clearly the one to beat. Best form reference is two back when a close third in a 2200m Class 1 at Newcastle in heavy going. Hard to see her not figuring in the finish. PHAROAH QUEEN (12) made it three minor placings from her last four runs when beaten just over a length in an 1890m Newcastle maiden 16 days ago. Dour mare who was beaten a lip in a 2100m Gosford Class 1 three back. Definite contender. PURPLE PRINCE (8) has struggled to make an impact of late in shorter races. Tried once at today's journey for a minor placing. Should be about the money. LANDMARK LADY (11) is a 20-start maiden who keeps whacking away. Can sneak into the frame at odds. G'DAY AUSBRED (9) wasn't all that far away at Newcastle last time. New to this trip but he looks ready for the challenge. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jade Sunset to win.
