HEATH HOUSE (4) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 2.25 lengths over 1000m at Vaal as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three starts. Up to open class but drops in weight and looks a leading hope again. KARATE KID (1) started at $5 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths, at Turffontein Standside over 1000m. Philasande Mxoli who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Found a bit of trouble last time. Placed 2/2 course and distance. Expected to measure up. LEAD THE CHARGE (3) bounced back last start and scored by a head over 1000m at Vaal. Building a strong record this course and distance. Sure to go well again. POBLANO (2) returns from a layoff of 11 weeks. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at this track. Definite top-three chance.
