Pace strong from Shimme Loin and Black Lotus vying for the lead closely attended by Samurai Warrior. BLACK LOTUS (5) was leading on the turn and fought on to finish third when resuming at his latest appearance. That continued the good form from last campaign and he should be fitter for it. Has a strong record here. Top chance. SHIMME LOIN (10) was in great form at the end of the last campaign with back-to-back wins, the latest over 2000m at this track three months ago. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Best figures should see him run well. SAMURAI WARRIOR (12) turned in a fair performance when fifth last start over 1500m at this track, beaten 4 lengths. That followed a good first-up win at this track. Has the talent to take this out. FELICIDADE (2) was in the money two starts back at Urawa but couldn't back it up last time. Nicely placed to make amends.
