Plenty of early pace from A Shin Glare, Piedra Aguila and Stay Green primarily. PIEDRA AGUILA (3) had been in top form, scoring three consecutive wins before being sent out favourite last time and finishing sixth over 1500m at this track. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Will give a great sight. AVANT (8) finished 3.5 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1500m at this track last start after lifting strongly to score two back. Backmarker who gets home hard. Leading contender. HIMINO ICHISHIRO (2) last appeared four weeks ago over 1600m at Ohi when he finished ninth. This is his first run for the Masayuki Nakagawa stable. Solid top-three hope. SMILE FRIEND (10) was beaten 10 lengths into sixth in a 1400m contest at this track two weeks ago. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
