A keen early battle to ensue between Ichirinno Bara, Top Empress and D Bird from Elba. TOP EMPRESS (6) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when one length away in second at this track and trip when she was always up in the leading division. Has the class to take this out. TO WIN (9) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a spell last start at this course and distance. Will take a lot from that hitout. Likely to play a big role. RHADAMANTHUS (2) remains a maiden after five runs. Had plenty of admirers last time and was solid when fourth. Draws well and is a player. D BIRD (1) is a three-start maiden who finished fourth when resuming from a spell last start. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Don't underestimate.
