Strong early tempo assured with American Dream, Lt Alexander and Golden Link locking horns. ARTURO (5) is holding his form well. He was running on too late when second over this course and distance last time. Richard Fourie is in the saddle and he may be the one to side with. GOLDEN LINK (3) was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m on this course last time. He takes on much stronger, rivals but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. BENNELONG POINT (7) did not settle in the early stages of his last start over 1400m on this course. However, the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. If not in need of the run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. AMERICAN DREAM (1) raced from a handy position last time and stayed on well to finish fourth. He gets the services of a 4kg claiming apprentice and with luck in the running he should be figuring in the finish.
