Slick tempo assured from Tomboy Minoru and Even Number leading the charge. KAZU PIREAS (8) recorded another success last time over 1600m at this track making it two straight wins this campaign. Comfortable winner last time and can measure up again. KEN WEISSACH (5) built on a nice second two starts back at this track with a win as public elect over 1400m at this track four weeks ago, getting home by 2.5 lengths. Makoto Okabe scored on him last time and retains the ride. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. TOMBOY MINORU (3) raced on the speed from the outset and went to score by 1.5 lengths last time over 1400m at this track. Sure to be competitive. ARS ANTIQUA (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths into fifth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
