He's finished in the first four in his past three, no match for the winner but boxing on well for second at Casterton last time out. Drawn wide but rolls forward to lead and should take plenty of catching from there. STATESMANSHIP (8) resumes. He only had one run last time in and ran well for second at Seymour in a stronger race. He does need another win but finds the right race to do so. STATE OF MAINE (7) has been building nicely this time in, good to the line at Hamilton last time out. Sets up well from a good gate and should take beating. WHAT A FLIRT (5) ran a good race fresh at Casterton with scope to improve off that heavy track effort. DIGARI (1) resumes and can be working home late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gusty Way to win.
