Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Mikinokarakuribako. SHIMOGURI (14) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fifth over 1400m at this track. Will strip fitter and is a great chance to break through. CAPTAIN JACK (12) comes here off a break of 13 months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at this track. Could be hard to stop. LOVELY YOSHINO (13) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing sixth starting at $7.80. Expect a better run this time. POMME VERTE (7) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten a neck, over 1200m at this track. Should give backers a sight again.
