Expecting Under Twenty Two to take up the lead at a genuine tempo.
WONDERLAND STAR (4) settled near the tail then wound up nicely to finish fourth in a Class 5 over 1660m at Doomben last start. Huge drop in grade today yet only goes up 2.5kgs after Newman's claim. Perfectly placed to take this out. DISSELATION (2) was friendless in betting first-up over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast but did a fine job to hold on for a close third after showing good early pace. Three misses from three second-up runs is the concern, but in this company he should be highly competitive. UNDER TWENTY TWO (3) raced three and four wide so his effort to be beaten just 2.5 lengths in open company at Grafton recently was full of merit. Again drawn awkwardly but with any luck he poses a major threat. WONFORWAZZA (7) comes here off a failure over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast 17 days ago. Has won three times at this trip so might be worth another chance. COLD ONE (1) has been racing okay in better company and should be thereabouts. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Wonderland Star.
