Vendemmia to go to the lead at a genuine tempo.
SO SAIN (12) is an interesting runner having her first start since switching to the Ensby stable. Struggled last prep on the provincial circuit but has been set an easier task this time. Recent Grafton trial winner who looks ready to make an immediate impact. BARRON (10) has a remarkable 15 minor placings to his name. Just failed to add to that tally last time when a fast-finishing fourth over 1000m at Coffs Harbour. Should be hard to hold out over this longer journey. HAYLEY'S ROCKET (3) lined up for only the second time and did a good job to work home into third over 1000m at Kempsey recently. Progressive mare who is a genuine threat with the help of an ideal gate. ARCHIE MAXIMUS (5) was a month between runs when an eye-catching second over this distance at Grafton last start. Sure to play a major role. VENDEMMIA (1) strips fitter after a satisfactory return at Kempsey a fortnight ago. SUGGESTED PLAY: So Sain to win first-up.
