Molteuno to take up the running at a moderate tempo. BRANNUM (2) trained on the track and a win looks imminent. Attacked the line strongly on resumption when a narrow second over 1310m at Moruya. Raced well here in the past and strips fitter despite drawing out. Goes close. TEXAN STAR (7) taken back from the wide gate at his second race start when a dismal eighth over 1200m at the Sapphire Coast. Showed potential on debut and gets a much better setup for this with. Cross-over nose band goes on and gets his chance. SONIC SCENE (6) outclassed in Sydney at both his career starts and this looks a much easier assignment. Can race a little closer to the speed and run well. MANWARI (3) trained on the track and turned in a better performance when a gritty on pace third over 1200m at Warren. Heywood sticks and doesn't have to improve much to win this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brannum can overcome the sticky draw.
