Expecting a strong tempo with O'ceirins Belle, Small Town Girl and Shawshank going forward ahead of I Don't and Black Orlov. I DON'T (3) has been thereabouts in her last couple of starts over 1400m and is now seasoned enough to have another go at a mile. Matt Cameron will replace an apprentice, and against this company, she should be the one to beat. O'CEIRINS BELLE (6) has been handled patiently and led all the way to score her maiden win at New Plymouth just over 3 weeks ago. Craig Grylls picks up the ride, and the pair merits healthy respect in an even contest. SHAWSHANK (1) has raced his way into some good form and will be fully fit now. He benefits from a 4kg claim and won't have to use up much energy early on from the pole position. He meets an even lineup and should produce his usual honest run. SMALL TOWN GIRL (7) broke through for a deserved maiden win at Waverley last time out and has no trouble with heavy ground. A wide gate might be a blessing in disguise by this time of the day, and she can repeat the dose. COCKTAIL LAD (9) stopped badly at Otaki over 2100m. Stick with him over a mile. SUGGESTED PLAY: I Don't is overdue, and good enough to take this out.
