EMPIRE STATE (5) gets a change of rider and has been freshened up since finishing fifth over 1400m at this track last start. Best form is good enough so worth another chance. NORDIC CHIEF (1) kicked off this campaign with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when seventh over 1100m at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ELUSIVE WINTER (6) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this track over 1100m after being in the firing line all the way. Expected to cross from wide out. Nicely placed to take this out. FIRINGONALLENGINES (4) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but disappointed last time when out of the placings at this track over 1200m after he was prominent at the turn. Finds a nice race and can bounce to form.
