Good speed from Imarealamerican, Maui and Justifiably. JONNY BE SWIFT (2) has been out of the winner's list for seventy-one weeks but this looks a winnable race. Started favourite when he battled on evenly to finish third last start over 2150m at Gunnedah. Likes the sting out of the ground and is a winner here at this trip so he ticks the right boxes. IMAREALAMERICAN (4) broke his maiden last time out with a dominant on-pace performance over 1500m at Port Macquarie in heavy conditions. Steps up sharply in distance but he is lightly raced and in an astute yard. MAUI (3) backs up just four days after a commendable second on a bottomless track over 2245m at Grafton. Rock hard fit and can certainly win if they opt for the quick turnaround. JUSTIFIABLY (5) returned from a six-month break with a tough maiden win over 1509m at Port Macquarie recently. Progressive and honest gelding who is ready to take this next step. SMART LILY (15) is new to this trip but did run an eye-catcher behind Imarealamerican over 1500m last time. Worth including.
