Anticipating a good amount of early pressure with many of these juveniles facing the starter for the first time. LOWVELD LILY (1) ran a good race on debut over 1100m on this course last start. She took time to find her feet, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish to run third of eight was encouraging. She would have gained from the experience and she will like the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat. SOUTH OF FRANCE (6) ran a decent race on debut over 1000m on this course. She was green in running but finished off her race nicely to finish fourth of 12. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Has each-way claims. MY DEAR FRIEND (2) faced the starter for the first time and finished sixth of 12 last start at this track over 1000m. Will be fitter for that run and is expected to go well.
