Genuine tempo with Cats Quarters and Intoxication leading the way. A host of key scratchings have turned this into a race in two. Consistent mare SHEILA'S FANTA SEA (6) returned from a five-month break last start and ran her usual honest race, making late ground in the heavy going to get up for second over 1000m at Port Macquarie. Placed two from two when second-up and this trip is far more suitable. Perfectly drawn so she looks all set to go one better. PUNCH ONE OUT (2) resumed with a dominant all-the-way win in heavy conditions over 1200m at Port Macquarie last time out. Lightly raced three-year-old who has come back at a new level this prep and can go right on with the job. STYLISED (1) is being asked to carry massive weights since coming to the northern rivers from Godolphin. Fitter for a first-up run and can fill a top three spot. MAGGIE SPARKLES (8) should improve back to a country Class 1 after a mediocre effort at Newcastle last time. INTOXICATION (11) races well here and is one for the exotics.
