Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at this track. Yet to win first up but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. CHIEFTAIN (3) finished 6 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1000m at Turffontein Standside a month ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will prove tough to beat. EDWARD RYE (8) finished third last time over 1160m at Turffontein Standside, beaten 5 lengths. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. NIGHT BOMBER (9) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on 9/11/2024, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths over 1100m at Kenilworth. Has switched to the Barend Botes stable. Comes here with definite top-three claims.
