Optimal and God Has Drifted to battle for the lead ahead of the small field. PRIDE OF HALLOWELL (6) wasn't disgraced on debut before being scratched at the barriers on October 16. She was spelled following that and she resumes today without a trial. Suspect she's come on over the break and she can run a big race with no weight on her back. OPTIMAL (1) has been knocking on the door for a little while now and went under when favourite at the mile here most recently. He has been placed over this course and distance previously and Faithfull remains with the gelding. Can continue his good run of form. SCENERY (2) pulled up lame in his only run last campaign and has been given a quiet trial since then. He draws nicely today and he can run a good race on resumption. LATER ALLIGATOR (5) is the new kid on the block with all the upside. Nice trial coming in and he has winning claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pride Of Hallowell can return a winner.
