Moderate tempo headed by Missijay. MISSIJAY (4) led the field last start and ran away to win impressively over the mile at this track 20 days ago. She should be able to roll to the front from the barrier and the form out of her last start has been franked. She will prove hard to run down from the front. BEST OF THE GODS (2) steps right out in trip today after closing off well over 1100m at Mt Barker last time out. He has only been over this trip once before, but he's a fit galloper and he's back on his home track. Should land in a good position and will get his chance. WILEY GIRL (6) wasn't far away at Mt Barker last start after some good efforts at this track previously. It's been a while between drinks for her, though she hasn't been far away of late. Worth including. MISTRESS OF EXCESS (5) was too good when running over the top to win impressively last start and she now steps up in trip. That looks to suit and she won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Missijay can bring up back-to-back wins.
