Moderate tempo expected with Quick Cookie likely to find the front over Mai Fire and Great Deal. COCOON GIRL (6) rattled home on debut at Mt Barker to miss out on victory in a photo finish. She gets onto her home track now with a rise in trip looking to suit. She looks to have plenty of class and with improvement likely, she shouldn't be a maiden for much longer. QUICK COOKIE (7) disappointed last time out at Bunbury after a strong second-up effort. She'll find this a little easier than her recent efforts and she should be close to the speed from a nice barrier. Can bounce back to form and make her presence felt. BLING BEACH (3) resumed in good order at Mt Barker when behind Cocoon Girl and she should be better for that effort. Draws well again today and with added fitness on her side, she should be in the finish. GREAT DEAL (2) is lightly raced and looks on the way up. Good run over the mile here last start and he won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cocoon Girl can shed the maiden tag.
