Plenty of pace from Awesome Spirit, John's Road and Saddles primarily. BITTER SPIRIT (6) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1100m at this track, scoring by half a length. Re-unites with Ashley Butler who was on board last start. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. POWER CHIC (9) finished 2.2 lengths back from the winner last start at Thangool and is down in weight this time. Expected to be competitive. WHATTA WHITT (7) is better than the past couple of outings suggest and can improve sharply without surprising. BO BO BEWARE (3) finished third over 1800m here at his most recent appearance on September 12. Rates highly and makes some appeal from the inside marble. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Bitter Spirit.
