EXCELLENTY (6) was less than a length from the winner in second at this track on debut before showing the benefit of that race experience when an impressive winner over 1400m at this track last start when resuming. Has plenty of upside and can measure up again. RUBY SHIELDS (1) was an impressive winner last time over 1600m at this track, stalking the pace before lengthening nicely to score by 8 lengths. Looks the testing material again. ASTRAL GATE (7) was prominent at the bend and finished second last time over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Placed to advantage and can take this out. GRAND MARRONE (4) was in a different class last time, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for an 8-length win at this track over 1400m. Can figure in the finish again.
