Pace strong with Danon Cruiser and Soprano Touch leading with Shank Doll nearby. BALEARES (9) proved too strong two runs ago at Nagoya. Couldn't follow that up last time out when second over 1500m at Nagoya, beaten 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Steps up a level but he is capable of running a bold race. DANON CRUISER (10) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1600m at this track when second, beaten a neck. Has a wide gate to overcome but he is worth following up. AITOKA KOITOKA (3) settled well back before finishing 7 lengths adrift in fourth over 1400m at Kanazawa last time. Can bounce back to winning form. SHANK DOLL (11) is back from a spell of three months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 1600m at Kochi. Sound prospects.
