Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Pari Moi, Nicked Away and Vire River to control the tempo. MOONBOLT (3) has been edging towards a maiden win, stepping up to a mile the latest when finishing third after racing close to the speed. Better for it and expected to be in the finish again. GROOVY GRAN (12) was in the market on debut over 1454m and was solid enough if not green. Better for the experience, blinkers added and extra trip is a plus. Can improve sharply. DOUBLET (7) is overdue for a win and is racing consistently. Placed last two, the latest over a mile, and should feature again. STYLE GUIDE (10) turned in a much better run last time at Tatura over a mile when ran on strongly, flying to finish runner-up. Goes close with a repeat of that run. CHERON FINALE (13) wasn't disgraced in a richer maiden on debut and then was put away again. Fitter for two jump-outs and a 1500m trial. Tricky gate but expecting a much better horse this time around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Moonbolt.
