Pace genuine with Teemoo and Dakota pressing hard closely followed by Taimate Warrior and Emerging Miss. OPTIONS OPEN (8) was surprisingly beaten fresh up at Timaru just over 3 weeks ago, and obviously needed the run, finishing fourth. There will be no such excuses this time, and she is the one to beat, so follow your money. TEEMOO (1) struggled on the heavy track at Wingatui 2 weeks ago when finishing fifth as the favourite. His debut effort for sixth was full of merit, and he can make amends in this. Top 3 claims. DAKOTA (7) hit the front early in the run home here 12 days ago and weakened late, finishing fourth in a field of 5. She had won 2 trials on the bounce before her debut, and is well worth another chance, especially with 100m less to travel. SHESASCORCHER (4) was very disappointing second up here nearly 3 weeks ago and probably found 1400m a touch too far at this stage of her career. She was runner-up when resuming at Timaru before that, and with the blinkers on this time, she can make amends. Each way. EMERGING MISS (5) fought on well enough for third here 12 days ago. SUGGESTED PLAY: Options Open is the one to beat.
